Install on NinjaTrader 8
Import the TradingNote AddOn into NinjaTrader 8 and link your account step by step.
NinjaTrader 8 connects with an AddOn: a plugin you import into the platform. Watch the video and follow these steps to install it and link your account.

Download the AddOn installer
When connecting a NinjaTrader account from Accounts, download the TradingNote AddOn package (a .zip with the installer).

Import the AddOn into NinjaTrader
Open NinjaTrader 8 and go to «Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On…», select the downloaded .zip and confirm. NinjaTrader installs the AddOn automatically.

Restart NinjaTrader
Close and reopen NinjaTrader 8 so the AddOn is loaded.

Connect your TradingNote account
A TradingNote panel will appear in the NinjaTrader menu. Log in with your account and select the NinjaTrader account you want to link. From then on your trades will sync.
The AddOn needs NinjaTrader 8 open and connected to sync and, if you use copy trading, to execute. Keep it running during your trading.
Account still not showing or syncing? Check the AddOn is loaded, NinjaTrader is open and connected, and you logged in with the correct account. If it persists, reach us via Support.
If the import fails with “Access denied”
If importing the .zip shows “Access denied” on a path ending in “NinjaTrader 8\tmp\Import\Backup”, the cause is almost always that your Documents folder is redirected to OneDrive (the path contains “OneDrive”). NinjaTrader can't create its temp folder there. It's even more common when the folder name has non-Latin characters (for example “Документы” or “文档”). It is not a permissions, antivirus or file problem — that's why the error persists no matter how many you check, and closing OneDrive isn't enough either, because the folder stays redirected.

Close NinjaTrader 8
Close it completely before changing the OneDrive settings.

Move Documents out of OneDrive
Open OneDrive (cloud icon in the taskbar) → Settings → “Sync and backup” → “Manage backup” → turn off “Documents” and save. Your Documents folder goes back to local (C:\Users\<your user>\Documents).

Move the “NinjaTrader 8” folder
If the “NinjaTrader 8” folder stayed inside OneDrive, cut and paste it into C:\Users\<your user>\Documents\NinjaTrader 8.

Import again
Open NinjaTrader 8 and repeat “Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On…” with the .zip.
Rather not touch OneDrive? Install it manually: unzip the .zip and copy the .dll file into “…\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\”. Then close and reopen NinjaTrader. It does the same as the importer, without going through the temp folder that fails.
