MT5 Live connects your MetaTrader 5 account straight from our servers. You don't install the Expert Advisor and you don't need MetaTrader open: it's the option for automated trading with your computer off.

Before you start

  • Account ID (login), password and server of your MetaTrader 5. All three come from your broker.

Step by step

  1. 1In TradingNote, go to Accounts → New account → MT5 Live.
  2. 2Enter the account ID, password and server.
  3. 3Save. The connection takes a few minutes to come up the first time.

If you're connecting a prop firm account, note that this option may trade from an IP shared with other users. Check your firm's rules first: some forbid it.
